Z+F UK Showcase LFM Server 3.94 and SmartPlant 3D
Interface at Intergraph 2009

Visitors to this year's Intergraph 2009 event in Washington D.C. were able to see live demonstrations before anyone else of the latest software releases from Z+F UK including LFM Server 3.94.

LFM Server allows Z+F UK customers to take pre-registered laser scan data and create a single source dataset. LFM has been designed to comfortably handle massive amounts of data. Each database can be generated from an unlimited number of individual scans and compiled databases can be linked to provide immediate access to even larger databases where required.

Important news announced at Intergraph 2009 that SmartPlant 3D customers can now too benefit from the LFM Server approach was incredibly well received.

Visitors to booth number 10 could see the opportunities provided by incorporating as-built laser scan data into the plant design environment. However more so than this, visitors commented on the interface itself.

Many were impressed with the seamless link between the two domains, the ease of use of LFM Server and of course its ability to handle massive amounts of high resolution data with ease and efficiency.

The collaborative and close working relationship between Z+F UK and Intergraph means that all customers can benefit from rapid scan data selection based on CAD objects, automatic and dynamic clash detection of CAD objects against scan data and fast retrieval and pick up of tie-in points.

Inspired by the SmartPlant 3D interface, Intergraph customers became increasingly curious over other aspects of LFM Server. Visitors to the Z+F UK booth left with a new awareness of the significant improvements that could be had by incorporating LFM into their work processes.
